Fish tank for sale!

April 22, 2010

I have got a larger fish tank for Fergal to live in so his old one has to go.

Its a 15 litre Biorb tank, complete with pump, light, hose and filter holder.

There are one or two minor scratches inside it, but once full of water and fish I doubt you notice them.

You will need a filter and stone media to complete – then just fill with water and stick a fish in it.

November 28, 2009

Amazingly the Glass guys turned up on mass today and have finished the main bit of thw work.

Its water tight at last, all the glass is in and sealed and the roof is on!

IMG_7590.JPG

Only a few bits left to do like the gutters and some trim and its done, then I need to get the builders back to render the outside, plaster the inside and get the electrics and lighting and floor sorted.

Joke

November 26, 2009

Warning, true story, be careful!

My Uncle went to the Chinese in Peel yesterday night, but didn’t know what he wanted and so he got one of those banquets, where you kinda get a bit of everything.

He picked it up and took it back to the car, and put it down on the passenger seat ready to take home. He was just about to set off and the bag moved slightly. Thinking he was imagining things, he looked closely, and it moved again.

As he looked a small head and a pair of eyes peered out from the top of the bag, but then quickly ducked down out of sight.

So, he grabbed the bag and ran back to the shop to complain. Stormed in and threw the bag on the counter and explained to the girl on the counter what had happened.

So, she carefully took the bag and opened it slowly, looked in and smiled.

Why yes sir, she said,…….

Conservatory – Patio is finished.

November 7, 2009

Another constructive day!

IMG_7551.JPG

The builders have been round again , and completely finished the patio and garden. They have even levelled the left over grass out so its straight with the patio – admittedly the grass has to now grow through!

IMG_7554.JPG

I have also asked them to make the drive wider, and so they have made a start on that too!

Conservatory – Block work is down

November 5, 2009

Had a chat with the buildr over the weekend and we were trying to decide on the flagstones for around the Conservatory. It turns out that he can get a deal on block work, which we had discounted for being to expensive, but its within budget, so thats what we got.

The majority of it went down yesterday:

October 31, 2009

IMG_7542.JPG

The hardcore for the paving has been laid now. Its all falt an lovely, interestingly what goes on top of this is a mix of sand and glass chippings made from old bottles and such like.

I love recycling like that!

Conservatory – Walls finished.

October 30, 2009

The walls have now been completed for the conservatory. They need a couple of days to go off, and then it will be ready for the frames to go onto it, so its a case of waiting for the Manx Glass guys to get round here!

Its starting to look like a room at last!he hole you can see in the middle of this wall is for the aircon unit to live in!

And a couple more from different angles!

Conservatory – Base laid!

October 24, 2009

Another productive day, not for me maybe but the builders did a brilliant job considering the conditions.

They mixed and then barrowed around tons of wet concrete and finished the base today, I was so chuffed I even made them all tea and toast!

IMG_7527.JPG

So there you have it, we finally have a floor!
